Professional Business Coach

John is our principal Business Development Coach.  He has had broad exposure to Corporate, SME, Franchisees and sole trader businesses during his previous 21 year career in General Insurance brokering.  John is a Certified Coach and loves supporting people in achieving their personal and business goals.

He is supported by his beautiful wife Kerrilee (our Business Manager) and surrounded at times by 5 children and one neurotic dog.  As part of the Lazy Bear Group I have access to a broad range of skill sets and interesting people.

Professional Qualifications:

• Diploma in Financial Services (Insurance Broking)
• Certificate in Results Coaching
• FACE Communication Facilitator

In his Insurance career from 1986 to 2007 he was an integral part of the Darling Downs and Qld insurance industry, serving on Insurance Institute committees and achieving finalist status in Sportscover Insurance awards.   This career gave him exceptional exposure to all types of business and their challenges.

He also achieved industry qualifications of Senior Associate – ANZIIF, CIP & Tier 1 Advisor – ASIC during this time.

John is also highly competent in Microsoft Office applications, systems design, implementation, testing and analysis.

Hobbies

Reading – Good meaty descriptive books on people interwoven with history or culture.  Great examples are Ken Follett, Tony Park, Wilbur Smith, Peter Watt and Bryce Courtney.
Other books are business based including great Christian based books on business.

Dancing – John competed in Dancesport partnerships until 2007 at State and National level in Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue Dancing.   Due to his partners ages, he danced against the Youth and Adult sections whilst being eligible for Masters competition.

Shooting – John obtained Junior Champion in Qld Field & Game competitions.  He also enjoys recreational shooting.

Ministry

John enhances his Christian walk by assisting in Ministries including those helping the aged and stewarding.  He actively supports local Christian Churches, overseas work and supporting people supporting others.

He enjoys marketing, business positioning and has been gifted in systems design and analysis.

He loves chai lattes (as He has given up Coffee), his Wife and anything yummy!

Coast2Coast Coaching offers the following options:

Business Coaching 1:1 Package

Weekly (or Fortnightly) one on one or telephone coaching over a 12 session period.

• You devote a set time to working on your business.
• We get to see, walk through and understand your business.
• The coaching process is accelerated through personal interaction.
• We can arrange a mutual location at a close by coffee shop to get rid of business distractions if required.
• Our coaches operate at different hours and use time management skills to handle work and life balance.
• As a Christian based organization, we do not work on Sunday and ask that our coaches are flexible enough to work with clients whilst satisfying their own personal goals.
• We back up each session with an email of the topics discussed, thinking models used and action steps to be taken.

Email

• You can ask questions at any time of the day or night.  Although we sleep, the question will be there in the morning for us to action.
• You get to keep a copy of the questions, answers and print them off if needed.
• You can book meetings, change appointment times if required.
• You can jot down questions as you think of them and email them through later in the day.
• You can communicate information we have asked for (e.g. daily KPI etc) to us easily.

Telephone

• The ability to pick up the telephone and communicate with one of our coaches your progress or more immediately obtain a simple focused suggestion to a challenge you have encountered.
• You can be in your business, at home or out and about working on your business.

This option is a minimum of $3,400.00 + GST for 12 sessions payable upfront or monthly in advance.
Travel costs may be in addition to the above rates

Sessions 1 & 12 are approximately 90 minutes long with sessions 2-11 of 60 minutes each as a minimum.

This Business Development Package is put together after the initial consultation with you at your business to work out:

Coaching required – sessions and areas of coaching

Consulting – sessions, areas of consulting, training workshops and mentoring of staff

Accelerated platforming and growth of your business over a 12 month coaching and consulting program.

Access to business templates, research and other network individuals and businesses.

The sessions are highly intensive and move from weekly to fortnightly sessions in month 3 onwards.

The pricing is then determined on the time and input required into your business to help you achieve your Goals.
