Is Your Business Sick?

Is it a reflection of yourself?

Most business owners miss the necessary connection between keeping yourself healthy in order to ensure that your business is healthy.  Both spiritually and physically, the need to keep yourself at optimal performance is just plain common sense.

Do you know how your body functions?   A reasonable enough question, which all too often is met with a blank stare!  Your body is a God given gift to you whilst here on Earth to perform his duties.  Why neglect or abuse it.  I’m not talking about being a fanatical gym junky or not enjoying life or food, rather the need for regular exercise, body maintenance via exercise, massage, chiropractic and other health professionals.  A regular checkup for your Blood Pressure and having a detox session once every 6 months or so.

Your body will thank you.

GIGO is the computer terminology I learnt in Uni whilst doing computer programming.  Garbage In – Garbage Out.  It doesn’t only apply to what we put into our body physically, but also into our mind, into our Spirit and what we allow to come out of it.

My great uncle reminds me of “There is no such thing as black magic, just cause and effect!”

What could be truer?  You eat some junk food, have little water and within minutes you feel lethagic and brain dead.  No surprise there when you understand what your body is doing with this food and what it is comprised of. The same goes as to what we feed our brain.  Negative thoughts, news reports (usually about dead people or scams), computer games killing people or outrunning police cars and the list goes on.

Now before you rush off and sign up for gym and every health practitioner nearby whilst donating your TV to the homeless.  Take heed!

Change requires a plan and change requires time.

If you have massive change, the more likely you are to revert back to your comfort zone (pre set body functions and thinking) and then crash shortly thereafter.  It is best to stage your change and development. Replace every second coffee with juice or water.  Then move onto actually going for a walk.  Not deciding to walk every day.

The human body takes about 30 days to accept change.  The neuroscience coaching studies on the brain estimates it takes 90 days to rejuvenate every cell in the body. That is if you haven’t reverted back to your comfort zone.  I.e. you have to start the counting of days again.

The Answer.

Identify your position.  Be honest with yourself.  Be realistic about what change you want.  Implement one small change at a time until it becomes habit .
